What is Tintype photography?
A tintype is a photographic image on a sheet of thin, black-lacquered iron that produces a direct positive image, rather than a print from a negative. Invented in the 1850s, the tintype was a durable and popular, albeit somewhat crude, form of photography that was produced by coating the iron plate with a light-sensitive emulsion, exposing it in a camera, and then developing and fixing it to create the unique, positive image directly on the metal.
This portrait will be digital, but it gives the same timeless look and feel as a traditional tintype. 🤍

The cost for your portrait is $150 plus sales tax.
Included in your portrait session:
- 15 minutes of photography time.
- Choose the final image right away.
- 8 x 10 final portrait printed on metal with a float mount backing.
- Digital copy of the final image.
- The metal print will be shipped 2 weeks after the event or sooner.
