Every once in a while I get a client who wants a session that is more creative and artistic. Colorful and unique locations paired with Instagram-worthy posing. Madison is just that client! Her unique curls, amazing laid-back style, and her amazing Doc Martens.
Madison already has a great sense of style so the key to this shoot was going to be the location. I had recently heard of this place in downtown Ripon called The Heist. I reached out to them to see if we could use their crazy cool space for Madison’s shoot. For a reasonable rental fee, we were able to book this location for the shoot. The Heist was originally a bank now this converted venue offers the most amazing retro basement. We also utilized the space shown in the image below.
Now we are off to the basement! The Heist calls this area The Hideout. It is filled with vintage furniture, games, a pool table, and a bar. An amazing space to rent for a party. This space has tons of color but I loved adding additional colored lighting to this space to make it custom for our shoot.
If you have never been to Ripon I suggest making a road trip soon. Their downtown is filled with great restaurants, coffee shops, and tons of shopping. It also makes for the most amazing backdrop for photos.
