This session is proof that June is the perfect month to book your senior photos! During this session, we had access to areas of Lake Michigan normally underwater. There were huge patches of wild phlox that resulted in the perfect yearbook photo. June says move over October I have tons to offer!
That is not to say June was extremely warm last year. Breanna was happy in her warm hoodie as we checked out the beach in Sheboygan. I asked her if she would trust me that braving the cold would be worth it in the end. Ditching her hoodie and shoes she made the trek to the rocks. The birds and the waves all played their part in making sure Breanna’s suffering was worth it!
Breanna really wanted wildflowers for her session. This is not always possible in June. As a backup plan, I had her mom bring a bouquet of flowers to use as a prop. Little did we know there would be huge areas of phlox just waiting for this moment. The phlox we used with a more casual outfit and sunglasses. Let’s not forget about the bouquet of flowers. They were a perfect accessory on the jetty.
