Looking Back: Mason’s 2024 Senior Session
Let’s take a moment to reflect on Mason’s incredible senior photo session from 2024—a shoot that perfectly captured his personality, passions, and small-town Wisconsin roots.
When I look back through my notes, a few keywords immediately stand out:
Rustic. T-shirt. Jeans. Baseball. Hunting. Suit. Tie. Downtown. Duck. Deer. Barn.
Mason chose to spotlight his love for duck hunting in one of his outfits and locations. Although the pond on their property wasn’t ideal due to water levels, he and his dad found the perfect alternative: a cornfield. They brought along decoys, duck calls, and even their dog. With the help of an assistant, I was able to dial in the lighting—illuminating Mason’s face while adding a beautiful backlit glow that gave the photos extra warmth and life.
Another highlight of the session? The baseball field in Mayville. It honestly feels like something out of a movie set. The weathered wood stands made for a stunning, cinematic backdrop. I used additional lighting here too, adding just the right amount of drama and depth to the images.
