🍁 Some may think it’s too early to talk about fall…
But let’s be honest—fall is the most requested time of year for senior photos, and for good reason!
Madison knew exactly what she wanted for her senior portraits: Door County and fall colors.
And she nailed it.
Door County in autumn is pure Wisconsin magic—a peninsula wrapped in brilliant maple trees, charming small towns, and the breathtaking shores of Lake Michigan. It’s everything you want in a senior photo backdrop.
Our first stop on Madison’s adventure? Cave Point County Park.
This spot looks like it was sculpted by nature itself—with dramatic cliffs, crashing waves, and trees that explode with color. It’s one of those places where you can’t take a bad photo—and Madison brought it to life.

Our next stop on Madison’s Door County adventure? The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor.
Madison wore a stunning green jumpsuit that perfectly highlighted her eyes—but let’s be honest, her long ringlets totally stole the show.
One of my favorite things about this park is the beautiful boardwalks. They wind through the trees and tall grasses, creating gorgeous natural lines in the photos. Plus, when we’re trekking from one location to the next, they make the walking easy and enjoyable.
This stop was the perfect blend of natural beauty and effortless charm

Just across the street from the Ridges Sanctuary parking lot, we stumbled upon a building completely covered in ivy—and it turned out to be the perfect backdrop for Madison’s next look.
To add a touch of fall magic, I held different colored leaves in front of the camera to create a soft, blurred foreground. Later in Photoshop, I crafted a composite image by layering multiple leaf shots together—giving the final portrait extra depth and a painterly feel.
