Vincent wanted to avoid any photos that looked too stiff or corporate. The day of the shoot, I really thought I had it figured out the look he was going for. After shooting some test photos, he was not digging the results. He went back to his office and pulled up a photo of himself he really loved. In this photo, he has a big, genuine smile. His body language is more relaxed and less posed. With this info, I had Vincent give me movement and different smiles and expressions. This is when we started to get the vision he was looking for.
This shoot used the client’s branding colors as the inspiration for the background. I didn’t want to drag around multiple colored backdrops, so I used a Savage Thunder Gray seamless backdrop. I brought with me 3 different gels to light the backdrop. Then, in Photoshop I adjusted the background color to get as close as possible to their brand.
